Gayman, Cynthia, PhD
Cynthia Gayman is originally from Seattle, Washington and earned a PhD. in Philosophy in 2000, from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She teaches philosophy at Murray State University in Kentucky. She specializes in Twentieth Century European thought and American Pragmatism. She is especially interested in body/ mind relations and how our experiences (and how we process our experiences) impede growth or support transformation of the self. She enjoys running, lifting weights, and competed in several body-building competitions. Most recently, she began a yoga practice.
