Thomas W. Stearns is a clinical psychologist providing integrative behavioral health services and programs within the primary care department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Keene (DHK). He is Director of Behavioral Medicine Program at DHK and an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. He received his Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University and his internship was accomplished at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in Texas. He has been providing clinical psychology services at DHK for over 15 years. He is adjunct faculty to the Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University. His professional interests focus on the integration of behavioral health resources within primary health care, health psychology, developing self-management competencies in patients with chronic medical conditions, supporting stress management and resiliency resources in health care providers and patients, positive psychology, and contributing to shifting the health care conversation from deficits and disorders to wellbeing and value-based living.
